Thunder Chilli

Back in my old life, I didn't cook much, and that hasn't changed in my new life. I did make some pretty awesome Chilli however, and last night I brought the thunder down on a batch of the stuff.
-
As no one else was going to eat it, I figured I would make it with a little punch, a little sweat on the back of your neck and top of your forehead type of boom. I loaded it up with spices, and to water it down, I used almost a half bottle of hot sauce. I added Cayenne Peppers and a prodigious amount of Jalapenos, plus the Jalapeno juice that they sat in, and about a ton of Salt. It was a salty, sweaty, spicy batch of Chilli is what it was. Had my two bowls with some shredded cheese on top, and a dash bit more hot sauce to cool it down temperature wise, and we had some FIRE ASS CHILLI for dinner last night. When I say We, I mean mostly just me.
-
I put the rest in the refrigerator to save it for tonight and also to let it soak in, because the process of sitting in the hotness will help the fresh tomatoes I cut up absorb the stuff even more for tonight, I turned my A/C down just now to help get my body ready for it.

There are lots of things that suck about being single and lots of things that don't suck so much. Making fire ass chilli with thunder and boom in it, is one of those things that are great about it. In my old life I would have had to mellow it out so my wife and kids could partake. Even then they never really liked it much. It was chilli compromised. So Old life = CHILLI COMPROMISED, New life = CHILLI WITH THE THUNDER AND THE BOOM.

That sounds freaking awesome! If you like onions, you should try it with a handful of diced onions (red or yellow). It adds a little more flavor...if you can handle more flavor with all that awesomeness going on in the same bowl!

QB-- during football seasons I like to make a batch of it about noon and just eat on it all day while I watch football.

Men and their chili...I think it's some sort of rite of passage for men to concoct the most fire-breathing sweat-inducing batch to prove how manly they are. Don't get me wrong, I like my chili spicy...Here's a good recipe that you might like, give it a try and spice it up if you'd like!

HEDO- when you have the itch for the spiciness, it matters not if it's July or you are living on the surface of the sun.
