Idol...

I have watched a little American Idol over the past 8 years or so. I generally like the early part when its a surprise with some guys that suck, and others that are good ...I also like towards the end when there are about 8 or 9 contestants. Tonight I watched the show where they come out with the 24, and its just good T.V.

These people know how to sing and even the ones who don't make it through are good. The drama of it all is just compelling. The sheer joy of the ones that get through, and the absolute and utter grief for those that don't, make it is just damn good T.V. watching.

Seriously, Raw freaking hopes are coming true for some of them, and then others are also getting crushed like little grapes getting stepped on by a fat dude. Its truly just big time T.V. watching. I feel for all of them and its just Awesome to watch. This is why reality T.V. works, because as much as it can be some contrived crap, it can also be like this.

i love watching the ones that suck hee hee

i wonder how much of it is already scripted. seems all the reality we love is not so much reality but good drama that was well written many, many months ahead of time. nah, i think it is all real. i choose to believe all that i see is unscripted awesomeness.

yep total awesome spontaneous reality t.v.

reality on those bachelor programs are scripted but reality on IDOL is just reality, maybe its cut a little bit but its true and its raw and those people are truly surprised and hapy when they make it and just pissed off and upset when they don't

i still wonder if the public chooses the winner or the producers do.

i agree though, the tears are real. i think many of the "bad" ones are just messing around to get on t.v. but yes, i agree they are real tears. i always feel bad when they cry. makes me so sad because you know they want it so bad and would do anything to have it but they were denied and it makes me sad.

why did you have to make me sad bill, now i am crying for the sad kids on american idol!

Psycho --- let it go... sad kids on American Idol are part of the very fabric of life.... they are like those lint balls you get in your belly button when you wear a new cotton shirt. DON'T hate the shirt... Hate the lint that gets in your belly button but just throw it away. You hear me? lint in your belly button does not void out a nice cotton shirt and crying IDOL losers dont take away from the Daughtrys and Underwoods of the world.
