Button Pushing Rules

Pushing buttons is important to little kids. We have button pushing rules around here, since we have two button pushers, and generally only one button to push at a time.
-
On the elevators when we go down, My daughter has the outside down button, and my son has the lobby button that you push once you get in the lift. Going up, My son has the outside button and my daughter has the inside button.
-
At ATM machines we have to take turns pushing the screen and various buttons that process entails.
-
If button pushing gets out of whack, for example, if I should accidently forget and push a button myself, then their is discussions and paybacks, and all kinds of out of whack button pushing penalties.
-
When they go back to their mother I am going to end up standing around in hallways waiting for an elevator that has never been summoned. My button pushing skills are slowly diminishing. Its like my button pushing abilities have a cast on them right now, and when it comes out of the cast when they go back to Gainesville, I will have to re-build my ability to push buttons myself.

Just get in the elevator and go for it...like Will Farrell in Elf (I'm sure everyone in your condo who rides the elevator after you would appreciate it).

When I first started reading this post, I didn't realize you meant literal buttons. I thought you meant like, "Okay kids, you're starting to push my buttons, we're going to have to come up with some rules on when you're allowed to push my buttons."

when the investment was around 8, he went to spend a week with his godfather, who works on film sets.

walking him around, showing off his godson, he made the mistake of saying to this asperger's child, "see this button on this crane (it was a camera crane complete with DP and mucho expensive camera)..DO NOT TOUCH IT!"

he turned away, and suddenly, the cameraman was yelling from 15 feet up, while the investment stood, happy with the discovery of what the button did (which is all my brother had to do was tell him)

yeah, last trip he ever made out there.

Fancy that, children DO serve a purpose...besides that general life enhancement thing, I guess.

Hedo -- also when they are about eleven you can have them mow the yard plus also they can start taking out the trash at around 7 or so... Its the reason we had kids so we could have other people to do chores.

Atrophied button pushing skills is never a good thing. You need something to ease yourself back into the rigor of pushing all the buttons yourself. I suggest practicing with the remote control.
