Tony Romo is a Gamer!

Color me impressed with Tony Romo. Dude had two cracked ribs and a PUNCTURED LUNG and was out of the game against the 49ers, but to hell with that, He sucked it up and went back in and brought the Cowboys back with 13 points in the second half, including a 77 yard touchdown to a T.V. Reality star. I am bringing the admiration for the man right here on my blog. Not a Cowboy fan but definitely an admirer of their starting QB.

Bill Thinks about Future Bill

Looking forward to watching Monday Night Football and also grateful for My D.V.R. How I Met Your Mother is on tonight and I am recording it for my future entertainment.

-

Coach Fox, Read this....

My eyes hurt from watching that 10:15 Monday Night game yesterday. The Raiders and the Broncos are clearly two of the most poorly coached football teams ever to play in the National Football League.

-
They were chippy, which is something that does happen, however neither coaching staff ever grabbed control. It went on all night. Additionally, they were un-disciplined so we had numerous offside calls both ways. Obviously they both have some talent and the Raiders even more so than the Broncos, but my goodness was it hard to watch. The game never had any rhythm due to the incredible lack of discipline. Also, Orton may be better right now than Tebow on paper, but I watched enough of Tebow in College to know he could have won that game for the Broncos if he was just given a chance. He makes everyone around him better and he wills his team to be better as a whole, regardless of the parts that make up the team. You play football on a field, not paper. Why is it so obvious to me but such a mystery to the people around him.
-
Someday Coach Fox will figure it out. Or he won't and the broncos will be mediocre long enough to get him fired.

War Eagle and Plexiglass

Funny is funny. Even when you think, Hey maybe I shouldn't be laughing at this because its just not right, if it's funny, well, then it's funny.

-
So Last Saturday one of the mascots for Auburn, the war eagle, did his thing that he does when they fly down over the crowd, except this time the war eagle flew smack dab into a glass door of a suite.
-
From the Birmingham news: ------" It looked like he hit the plexiglass hard" said Jamie Bellah, director of the Southeastern Raptor center at Auburn "I looked him over and couldn't find a bruise. It doesn't look very good when you see it on the video, but I think he must have recognized he was going into something because his feet came out a little bit."

Funny is funny.

Love having the NFL back.

Nice opening game, missed most of it because of a prior commitment. Not to say I was out digging ditches instead of watching football, no, I was out living my life, watching comedy. It was some top of the line comedy as well. Tommy Johnagin. Dude was just funny and my friend kept texting me throughout the night letting me know how Jermichael Finley was doing.

-
Jermichael Finley -- that was an awesome first quarter, how about playing in the other damn three quarters as well.

Sad Manning Face

Peyton Manning is not going to play football this Sunday. Neither am I. We are pretty much the same guy, except He has Peyton Manning Face and I don't.

-
-
He looks so Mopey in this picture. His face is like a novel, It's a sad tale of woe. As much as I enjoy watching him run an offense, having neck issues is a scary thing for anyone, Hell, its hard to just drive a car when your neck isn't right, much less play football in the League.
-
I hope he recovers, because he is truly one of the great players of my generation although if he misses the whole season we will be able to see what a below average team the Colts are without him. Dude has carried those guys for damn near a decade. This is some stuff I need to see.

Finally, its back.

Football is finally back. This weekend there will be tailgating, some grilling and college women walking around in those sundresses. Life will be good.

-
Then we will see the new edition of the Mighty Florida Gators in a bit of a warm up game against FAU.
-
New Head Coach, New OC as well. The Legendary Charlie Weiss will be calling the plays. Hopefully he wont choose to run dive plays with 165 lb running backs, and he won't be running John Brantley on an option to the short side of the field. Seriously though how funny would it be if the Dive play is the first play of the game.
-
Love this time of the year!

White Mike Vick

White Mike Vick:

-----

Saw this photo on Yahoo today referencing an article on ESPN -
-
No matter what the implications are about race and our society, the first thing I thought of is that White Mike Vick, probably would not be able to run like Black Mike Vick does.

Mayhem.

This is such an excellent picture of Nevin Shapiro and Donna Shallala and the IBIS. (from Yahoo Sports) - She looks so dorky in her matronly clothes and her goofy smile staring at the check.
-
Of all the scandals I have ever seen, this one is absolutely the juciest. There are Yachts, Strippers, Night clubs, Fancy dinners, Prostitutes and just flat out Yumminess.
-
Its like slowing down to watch a car wreck, except its not just a fender bender. No, this is cars going over cliffs and bursting into flames. This is like a train carrying explosive gases derailing. this is absolute utter mayhem.

Pre Season Football

Little preseason football tonight which fires me up.

-
NFL network has a thing where they jump you around to all the games that are going on, and it is awesome. Just saw Gabbert from the Jags get sacked in the Jags/ Patriots game, then Vick throw a bomb to Riley Cooper, in the Eagles Ravens game.

Memo to the Bronco's - Let it come to you.

Bronco's need to get a grip. First they are going to trade Orton to Miami, then they are going to Start him, now they are talking about putting Tebow up on the trading block.

-
Just chill. Relax, the situation will work itself out if you just let it. The front office needs to do what is best for the Bronco's, but I get the feeling they are trying to make that decision way before they have the information they need, and way before they need to. Let the Pre-Season get here. You need at least two QB's on the roster. It will all work out.
