I bought some tootsie rolls to give out for Halloween but only had one doorbell ring. It was a big group of kids, maybe 9 or so of them but still, thats it. As I am writing this, I have a mouth full of about 5 of them and a half filled bowl as well. Probably finish them off by tomorrow if not tonight. To much candy is a bad thing for me.

Wisdom is not enough, sometimes it takes time as well
Two people I know are in a dispute, there is probably some truth on both sides. There is probably exaggeration each way as well. All I hear are two different perspectives on basically the same issue. My job isn't to determine who is right and wrong, but rather to help both of them see the others perspective.

Problem is , each of them are so committed to their own side, neither will open up to the possibility of conciliation. I have been one of those people myself. I guess that experience should help me with the mediation but the fact I can see the errors of each of them, is no help to me in conveying the wisdom I believe I have to reach a peace, except it is enough, Its just the time frame is much to long.

Bill buys himself a new book
Just bought the Visible Man, By Chuck Klosterman. Now I need to find some time to read it. I had intended to read two books a month this year, but have barely been able to get one a month. I love reading stuff Chuck Klosterman writes. He has a unique view on popular culture and his take comes in from out of nowhere.

October is just flying by
How is it already October Tenth and I have not blogged in this month at all? Lots of silliness has gone on and I am still living the bifurcated life. Went to Louisiana this past weekend for the beat down those Tigers put on the Gators. Was up in Gainesville for the beatdown Alabama put on em. Went to the Buc's Monday Night game and at least the good guys won that little skirmish. Saw the Steve Miller Band last Tuesday. Staying out of trouble as best I can albeit with an assist from a friend of mine.
