Sherman Anti Trust to the rescue

Orrin Hatch is like J. Edgar Hoover and the BCS is like Al Capone.
-
The FBI and police tried to nab Capone for murder but ended up getting him on tax evasion.
-
The fans of America tried getting a playoff system thru complaining and moaning. Orrin Hatch is going to get us a playoff series by going after them with the Sherman Anti Trust law.
-
Hatch is like William Wallace leading us to "FREEDOM"
-
I could care less about Hatch's motive (seeing Utah get hosed last year and a few years before that when Urban was running that show)
-
Mr. Hatch is my favorite Senator right now.

Are you not at all concerned about what a playoff system designed by our government might look like? I tell you this is not gonna be good for the UF's and LSU's of the world. It will however be huge for frigging Utah, Tulane and all the other "disadvantaged" programs in the country. One day a 12 - 0 MTSU will play a 12 - 0 U of Buffalo for a national title while 11 - 1 UF misses out cause they lost an early season game at Alabama. I want a playoff I just don't want Mr. Hatch to dictate what it looks like.

NTF -- I dont See Mr. Hatch having anything to do with the how of the thing, His role is to put this pressure on the BCS and the BCS will cave. Even if the BCS doesn't cave, I believe ESPN, ABC etc. will dictate how it gets set up.

The way I see it it will be GREAT for the LSU's and FLORIDA's of the world.

for #1) I believe The SEC champ will ALWAYS be in the playoff, 2) I believe Most years that there will probably be TWO SEC teams in the thing and some years 3 sec teams will participate (assuming an 8 team playoff -- More then likely the 6 large conference champions and two at large champions (like Utah etc) --- and yes a Florida team could lose the wrong 1 game (thus not winning the SEC) go 11 and 1 and get shut out to an undefeated Utah or something, but ultimately that would be okay-- because the opportunity to play in the thing by winning the SEC is enough. Think of the times the SEC champion is ranked 4th or 5th or 6th in the country, You and I believe they are better but because of their schedule they dont get an opportunity to play for it all, in an 8 team playoff the 5th best team (as thought by the polls) would get a shot

Hope your right brother. If the playoff is setup right that would be great!
