A thing NOT to do

Sometimes on Movie Night when you just stay home and do the DVD thing with your girl, She might fall asleep next to you on the couch. That can be awesome and so you just stroke her hair and watch your movie.-Its like being alone, but not lonely--- If the Movie is really good and you think you should wake her up so she doesn't miss out , You probably shouldn't...

Things to possibly do this Fourth of July Weekend

Lots of options are open for the Fourth of July weekend, including Driving down to FT Myers Florida and then catching a boat to Key West. Part of that would be partying like a rock star on the way down to the Keys, plus acting like there is nothing that my mom would be ashamed of finding out while there, and than riding that same boat back?
-
My Dad actually tought me that part about living your life in such a way that if a reporter wrote about the stuff you did, your mom would not be ashamed reading about it... Sometimes though I feel like you should hope that there are no reporters around , because there is a Titty bar in Key west that has Full Nudity and full alcohol--- I can sometimes drink to much for my own good, and beautiful Naked Women are a positive thing in my book..... even if you only get to stare at them...
-
Also , I do not know any reporters on a personal basis that would follow me around to report on my actions, plus on top of that, my mom is dead.
-
Not saying that is what I am going to do ...but it is a consideration for sure... Financially though probably best if I don't ... New Glasses for my son coming up , Continued payments for my Daughters Braces....Just making all my bills in general, with so much of my income going out to monthly child support and alimony...Still, Just a thought, and I could probably, maybe, swing all of it.... Its my blog and I can think out loud if I want.

A little less Innoculation

I watched a little Soccer this past Saturday. Ghana just took em down even though we had more shots on goal then they did. They were able to convert, and the Americans did not. -- I am pretty much done with Soccer now for another Four years.
-
This whole thing is like getting a vaccination. -- They put Soccer in our bloodstream in just a small dose ---kind of as an innoculation type of thing. Now I am innoculated from it and am not to concerned with "Catching the Soccer Habit" going forward -- Some people though are still feeling a little woozy from the innoculation. --
-
Sunday I headed over to a local bar to watch the Rays/ Diamondbacks and they actually still had a T.V. on the soccer stuff and there were people watching Mexico/ Argentina? Real American people paying attention when a perfectly good baseball game was going on just a T.V. over to the side from all that running and chasing going on. I will be glad when we as a country just go back to hating Soccer. Its really our natural state.

This past week

Had my kids with me this past week, and have them for two straight weeks in July, and then one more week in August. One of the weeks in July, I am taking some vacation time.
-

My goodness those guys can get on each others nerves. They will start arguing over the stupidest thing and just wont quit. I am like, "All right, you both made your point, now be done with it." Then they can turn around and be Angels. One day they completely cleaned the apartment and also bought some flowers for the living room. They each talked about what the other one did. Hunter was like: "Chase did the dishes" Chase was all: "Hunter took out the trash"
-
Then they can play on Web -kins together for hours, just laughing and giggling and playing that silly game, until suddenly, My daughter will be done with it and My Son will still want to continue playing. then they argue about whether or not she should continue playing and the "I HATE YOU" language will get thrown out there.
-
My goodness ... And my daughter hates it when my son wears his sandals. -- She is all: "You are such a DORK with those sandals" . And my son is like, "I'm not a dork" and then "Yes you are" and then "No I'm not" and it just wont stop. It's like a record with a scratch on it, until I go and re-set that needle on them. "PLEASE JUST DROP IT YOU TWO!"
-
Then the procrastination about going to bed, and when they do finally go to bed they still talk and laugh and needle each other and I am at my wits end with it....PLEASE SHUT UP AND GO TO SLEEP YOU GUYS!!!!. -
-
It was a good week though. We rode bikes, played catch at the park, watched some movies, went to adventure Island and also the beach, and we ate some Five Guys Burgers and Fries which is a damn fine treat, and something I try not to do to much of lately while I am losing all this weight in my belly.

We had to take our foot off the pedal tonight

We have played 3 full seasons of softball out at the Drew Street softball facility in Clearwater Florida, plus we are now 2 games into our fourth season. Through all that, we are 16 and 14. Even with that mediocre record, we won the championship in our first season, with a 5 and 5 record. (entered the playoffs with a 2 and 5 record and swept it )--- Our other two full seasons, we lost in the semi final games of the playoffs and ended both of those campaigns with a 5 and 4 record. We are 1 and 1 on this season. I think that is enough data points to assess our team as being just slightly better than average. Like, if it was a grading situation in college, we would be a C + type of student.
-
Tonight though, we played the worst team in the history of Softball. At the end of the thing I felt bad about the beatdown we put on those dudes. I never bullied kids when I was in school but I could imagine how it might feel taking the dweeby kids lunch money after tonight.
-
The final score was 24 to 1 and it was only that close because we took our foot off the gas in the end. They had two guys that were okay, and the other 8 looked like they had never played any kind of baseball or softball in their entire lives. Some of them looked like just walking and chewing gum at the same time would either lead to them choking on their gum, or tripping on their own two feet over a blade of grass.
-
True Story, and this is not an analogy. During the game, Fireworks were going off in the background like it was a celebration of the beatdown we were putting on em... At first when it was 14 to nothing in the third inning or so, I was okay with it. Hell we have been down by that much ourselves and came back. Its hack league Softball, and teams will implode on you, that just happens, but after about the third inning, it just felt kind of dirty.
-
One of those dudes had a kid in their dugout, and when they scored their run, you would have thought the guy was personally involved in solving the Oil Spill Crisis out in the gulf, he was that fired up about it. His Mom had to shush him because he was making that big of a deal about that one run, when at that time it was something like 21 to 1.
-
It felt so bad, I imagined those guys were Louisiana Pelicans, and we were the Oil. -
-
I hope we never play those guys again, or at the very least, that the next time we play them they have had some turnover in their roster. We have been beaten pretty substantially in a few of our losses, and have also put a beatdown on other teams in some of those wins, but never have I felt like it was just unfair and mean, like I did tonight.

A clip from a movie

In a relationship with someone else, if you truly believe this, then you know its an outstanding relationship, and it could go to another level. If the other person makes you want to be better person yourself, then you know what? thats a great relationship. You may want to cultivate that one, and build on it.
-
Relationships should be strong--- but so much of the beginnings of those things, are like massai warriors just building their houses out of straw and mud. You need to build them on foundations, maybe even build the basement first and use the best steel girders in the foundation. Set that thing up and then build your ass a skyscraper of a relatioship, complete with high speed elevators and marble floors with lots of Art hanging on the interior.

Time does heal all wounds

I know about being disapointed - Life will throw some disapointment at you. Its like Life has a Job, and part of that Job is hurling a little set back at you here and there. But time truly does heal all wounds. I was a 15 year old kid in 1980 and watched Lindsay Scott go those 92 yards on my Television, of course I didn't hear Larry Munson's Call until it became legendary, later on, because obviously I don't listen to the Georgia Bulldog Radio Network. The Bulldogs went on to win the National Championship that year. The Last one they have had.
-
My Goodness this is one of the greatest calls of all time and now almost 30 years later the dissapointment in the Gators losing that day is gone, and I can appreciate how historic this moment was and just appreciate Larry Munsons call.
-

-
I do understand part of being able to appreciate this is because the Gators have basically owned Georgia for the past 20 years, going 17 and 3 during that time period. That helps ALOT a WHOLE LOT. Thats also part of "life's" Job I guess, Life gives you disapointment so you can deal with it and then life gives you Florida Domination over Georgia. She will balance you out if you let her.
